Mercedes-AMG is hard at work developing and testing its first four-door high-performance EV, and if these renderings prove accurate, it could be one of the most dramatic sedans on the market and may sway buyers from the Porsche Taycan and Audi e-tron GT.
This new model will essentially be the successor to the current Mercedes-AMG GT 4-Door and take inspiration from 2022’s Vision AMG Concept. Heavily-disguised prototypes of the new model were snapped testing earlier this year and have inspired these detailed renders from Kolesa’s artist Kelsonik. While the car may share some similarities to the GT 4-Door, it could also look very, very different.

No part of this car screams drama quite like the front fascia. While the heavy body cladding on prototypes keeps the final design a mystery, these renderings attempt to lift the veil. They borrow the striking headlights from the Vision AMG Concept but dial them down just enough to be road-legal.
Each headlight features three LED daytime running lights cleverly arranged in a star shape, complemented by a thin LED light bar that adds a futuristic touch. Then there’s the oversized front grille with aggressive vertical slats—clearly inspired by the second-generation AMG GT sports car.
The result? A front end that’s still ready to pick a fight but might just pass a safety inspection.
Like the Taycan and e-tron GT, it seems likely AMG’s electric sedan will sit very low with a sleek roof, helping to reduce drag and boost the car’s range. The details are sharp, too—flush door handles seamlessly integrated into the bodywork keep things smooth and slick, while matte black wheels paired with bright yellow brake calipers add a pop of boldness that says, “Yes, I’m electric, but I’m here to play.”
Then there’s the rear. LED technologies have allowed car manufacturers to create intricate headlights and taillights that would have been inconceivable two decades ago. In the case of the AMG EV, these renderings from Kolesa show it may adopt a swooping, single taillight that stretches across the rear of the car. This design would mimic the Vision AMG Concept and remind us of the taillights of the Kia EV6.
More power than you’ll ever need
When it comes to what’s under the hood, the upcoming electric four-door AMG is set to pack some serious punch. It’s rumored to feature lightweight electric motors from the UK’s Yasa and a cutting-edge, high-density battery pack from Sila Nanotechnologies in the US. Word is, it could deliver nearly 1,000 hp (746 kW / 1,014 PS)—blowing past its plug-in hybrid cousin, the AMG GT 4-door 63 S 4MATIC+ E Performance, which already cranks out a hefty 832 hp (620 kW / 843 PS).
While the exact debut date is still under wraps, this super sedan could be tearing up the streets by late next year or early 2026.
