Mercedes-Benz Reports Sales Growth In Q4

Mercedes-Benz USA experienced tremendous success in Q4 2022, achieving a 21% increase over the previous year’s quarter for total sales of 88,493 vehicles. This figure includes passenger cars, with 73,019 units sold and 15,474 vans. On an annual basis, MBUSA delivered a total of 350,949 vehicles – a 6.5 % YOY growth driven primarily by strong demand for EVs & Top-end models, as well as a 20% rise in van sales versus 2021 figures.

“Strong year-end results and exponential volume growth of our EV portfolio are a testament to the strong demand for Mercedes-Benz EQ, luxury and commercial vehicles in the U.S. market,” said Dimitris Psillakis, President and CEO of MBUSA. “With a full lineup of five EQ models and a renewed focus on Top-End Vehicles, we will continue to advance our strategy and offer the most desirable luxury cars, SUVs, and commercial vehicles.”

Mercedes-Benz USA saw a 29% surge in top-end vehicle deliveries due to notable growth of the S-Class and Maybach models. This firmly positions them as the leader amongst luxury electric vehicle manufacturers with their upcoming product lineup, including the all-new EQE SUV plus another four fully-electric vehicles due for release sometime in 2023.

Mercedes-AMG high-performance models saw an impressive 54% increase in sales for the fourth quarter of 2022, bringing their total number to 9,974 units. Additionally, MBCPO vehicles had an encouraging 7.1% year-over-year growth, with 35,458 cars sold over Q4 2022.
