Clive Sutton, the London-based purveyor of fine luxury vehicles, has introduced a luxury conversion for the Mercedes-Benz Sprinter. Yes, the large van – designed for mass transport and commercial applications – has been transformed into a ‘First Class’ vehicle, with space for seven passengers and all the luxuries one could ask for.
Clive Sutton likens the Sprinter to a first-class airliner, and the firm isn’t exaggerating. Aside from individual leather-wrapped seats, the cabin receives two 43-inch screens with 4K resolution, mood lighting, and a surround sound cinema-style sound system. Passengers control all these goodies through a customized Crestron interface. The televisions feature Apple TV and HDMI connectivity, and there’s a PlayStation 5 to keep occupants entertained on longer journeys.
Plenty Of Features To Keep You Entertained
Of course, the seats are power-operated. They boast a leg rest, recline, and slide fore and aft. Naturally, they’re heated and ventilated and boast a massage function. There are also two fridges for storing drinks, Wi-Fi, and a panoramic glass roof to let natural light into the spacious cabin. Tasteful wood veneer finishes everything off nicely.

Aside from the luxury, the unique selling point of the First Class Sprinter is space – plenty of it. Clive Sutton notes the ultra-luxury van boasts more occupant room than a long-wheelbase Range Rover, Maybach, or Rolls-Royce, with more than 84.8 square feet of configurable space. What’s more, even with seven seats, there is still plenty of room for luggage.
“For many years, our customers have demanded a level of luxury and convenience that surpasses what is available in the standard luxury vehicle market. Our 2025 First Class Sprinter joins our premium lineup of VP Class Mercedes-Benz, VIP London Taxi, and Lexus LM VIP conversions, which set Clive Sutton apart as a leader in luxury transportation for customers in the UK and around the world.”

As Luxurious As A Rolls-Royce – And Costs As Much As One, Too
The driver and front passenger haven’t been neglected either. The compartment has been trimmed to the same standards as the rear, with matching carpeting, wood inlays, and a Milano suede headliner. The seats are also trimmed in leather. As expected, the First Class Sprinter has a big price tag, starting at £230,000 plus VAT ($304,000). That makes it nearly as expensive as the new Maybach S680 Nordic Glow special edition, which is arguably more eye-catching.
While the interior is palatial, the exterior is comparatively demure, with black paint, privacy glass, and alloy wheels being the only clue that this isn’t your average van. Some high-end customers will want something more attention-grabbing, but that’s just the point of the First Class Sprinter. It provides all the luxury VIPs will need while being able to fly under the radar in crowded cities like London, Los Angeles, and Tokyo. Luxury vans are extremely popular in Asian markets, with the all-new Lexus LM and Mercedes V-Class selling up a storm in China. Volvo has also entered the market with the electric EM90, a luxury van based on the exclusive Zeekr 009.
