Mercedes-Benz seeks to redefine the mid-size luxury coupe segment with the new CLE. Set to launch in Europe this November, the CLE Coupé blends design aesthetics, technical innovation, sporty character, and exclusive comfort. The CLE Coupé’s design effortlessly captures the ethos of the Mercedes-Benz brand. Sporting a long wheelbase, a well-positioned and strongly inclined A-pillar, a short front, and a slightly extended rear body, the car pays homage to the classic proportions that have been the trademark of the brand, while offering a contemporary spin. The design, characterized by flowing surfaces and seamless transitions, culminates in a powerful sculpture, visually stunning from all angles.
Driving experience is at the forefront of the CLE Coupé’s creation. The vehicle’s most powerful engine available (with no AMG model announced yet) is a turbocharged 3.0-liter straight-six cylinder with an impressive 381 horsepower and 369 lb/ft of torque. On the inside, luxury meets innovation. The CLE Coupé comes fitted with a 12.3-inch digital instrument display, an 11.9-inch driver-oriented central display, and dynamic ambient lighting with 64 colors. The integral sport design seats, exclusively developed for the CLE, are equipped with loudspeakers for a truly immersive Dolby Atmos and Spatial Audio experience, with an available Burmester 3D sound system for the ultimate luxury audio experience. Furthermore, Mercedes-Benz introduces the EASY-ENTRY function for the first time, allowing seats to be accessed with an elegant Nappa leather loop rather than a typical lever.
The CLE Coupé is also future-ready, featuring the third generation of the MBUX infotainment system and an extensive range of driver assistance systems, like ATTENTION ASSIST, Active Brake Assist, Active Lane Keeping Assist, and more. All engines of the CLE Coupé are mild hybrids with integrated starter generators and a 48-volt electrical system, reflecting Mercedes-Benz’s commitment to an electrified driving experience. Dimensionally, the CLE Coupé is the largest coupé in the mid-size segment. With a longer wheelbase, it offers more space than the C-Class Coupé, especially for the rear passengers. The trunk also provides more volume, easily accommodating three golf bags.
In addition to all these features, a plug-in hybrid model of the CLE Coupé is under development, showcasing Mercedes-Benz’s ongoing commitment to sustainable mobility.
