Duesenberg’s are magnificent automobiles. By now, I’m sure you’ve already seen the video where this car just recently came out of it’s 55 year slumber when it was rolled back out into the sunlight AND the video where Doug Pray with the Auburn – Cord – Duesenberg Co. in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma spent some time showing us some of the details of this car. What make a Duesenberg a Duesenberg is under the hood. They were one of the most advanced and powerful engines of their time! When a Movie Star or anyone else of wealth in the 30’s ordered their new Duesenberg, the only part of the car that was produced by Duesenberg was the drivetrain and front end. Duesenberg produced the magnificent engine as well as the rest of the powertrain and running gear as well as the front end sheetmetal and grill. The rest of the body was custom made by a coach builder.
The engine in these cars is literally a work of art in itself! In this video, Doug is going to take some time and show us some of the details on this engine.
