In 2022, India’s richest man, Mukesh Ambani, took delivery of his third Rolls Royce Cullinan. He added another Cullinan to the collection last year, but we will be talking about the third Rolls Royce Cullinan. This Cullinan is notable because it is one of the most expensive Cullinans in his collection. It boasts a customized number plate and the highest price tag due to its numerous customization options. The paint job alone on this luxury SUV is worth Rs 1 crore!
A video has been circulating on the internet showing Ambani’s brand new Rolls Royce Cullinan along with a convoy of security vehicles. According to a report by PTI, the new Rolls Royce Cullinan was priced at Rs 13.14 crore. It should be noted that this is not even the Black Badge version. This is the regular Cullinan, which has a starting price of Rs 6.95 crore, ex-showroom.

We all know by now that the price of luxury cars like the Rolls Royce Cullinan completely depends on the customizations that the customer opts for. So, in short, Ambani actually spent more than the base price of the vehicle on just customizations. It is said that the most expensive customization on this vehicle was the paint job, which alone costs around Rs 1 crore.
Other than this, the car also runs on 21-inch alloy wheels, and the price of these wheels is only available to the customer on request. As we already know, Rolls Royce offers a wide variety of customization options and charges the customer accordingly. They can choose from a variety of color options for both the exterior and interior to ensure that their vehicle stands out from the crowd. The exact details of the customizations chosen by the Ambanis are not known.
Registration Number Worth Rs 20 Lakh
Just like all other cars in the Jio garage, this Rolls Royce Cullinan also gets a fancy number. It gets “0001,” which is a highly sought-after VIP number. Usually, one would have to spend around Rs 4 lakh for this number; however, in this case, the Ambanis spent three times more.
The RTO (Regional Transport Office) informed that the number was selected from a new series as all the numbers from the current series were already taken. This is why the RTO charged a staggering Rs 12 lakh for the registration number alone.
The RTO officials also noted that with written permission from the Transport Commissioner, a new series could be initiated without fully exhausting the previous series. Apart from this, reports suggest that an additional one-time tax of Rs 20 lakh was paid, and the registration is valid until January 2037. Furthermore, an additional Rs 40,000 was paid as the road safety tax.
The Rolls Royce Cullinan seen here is powered by a 6.75-liter twin-turbocharged petrol engine that generates 569 bhp and 850 Nm of peak torque. The engine is mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission. The Cullinan’s Black Badge Edition was gifted by Mukesh Ambani to Nita Ambani during the festive season last year. She also got herself a Rolls Royce Phantom VIII EWB luxury sedan worth Rs 12 crore in a custom Rose Quartz shade.
