New Mini Hardtop And Countryman Getting Ready For Big Reveal

Despite the significant push favoring electrification, Mini assured the renowned go-karting characteristics the brand is known for will be retained. The new electric Cooper will also pay homage to the past with an interior design harkening back to the 1959 original.

As for the Mini Countryman SE ALL4 – the official title of the range-topping electric model – this model has already been confirmed to be the first all-electric, all-wheel drive Mini model, with the company divulging details earlier in the year. We know it will have front and rear electric motors with peak outputs of 308 hp (in overboost) and a range of 280 miles from a 64.7 kWh battery (again, on the WLTP cycle). A base model, dubbed the Countryman E, will have 188 hp from a single motor.

The Countryman will be larger than before, growing by 5.1 inches in length and with an extra 2.4 inches to its height. Overall, it will now measure 169.7 inches long, making it shorter than the BMW X1, but still saves room for the Aceman to slot in beneath it in the future.
