The festival also saw the awarding of various GT-R builds, with over 20,000 dollars worth of trophies across the Show & Shine, Drag Racing, and Dyno Competition. Here is the list of best GT-R models from the R32 Skyline to the R35 GT-R.
1) Best R32 GT-R – Norri Factory GT-R by Josh Norris
2) Best R33 GT-R – 400 N1 by Andrew Hannason
3) Best R34 GT-R – KNGJDM by Ricardo Marques (also won the Best Interior)
4) Best R35 GT-R – HYPOGTR by Farhaad Mohammed
But perhaps the most important accolade was Motive Video’s own Motive Choice award handed to Skyline Australia NSW for its entire display and continued support of the GT-R Festival.
It is still unclear whether a rumored R36 could join future festivals anytime soon. But events like this help strengthen the GT-R’s legacy that is still an icon even after 15 years.
