In keeping with Nakamura-san’s previous comments about modern EVs being too aggressively designed, the LSR-5 concept’s exterior is modern and sleek, with a sloping roofline and a clean side profile with sculpted fenders.
The front looks similar to the Hyundai Ioniq 5 but with a full-width LED strip like the Kona EV and a bumper designed to channel air away from the nose. At the back, the full-width lighting elements continue with a Kamm-tail design, with the LEDs angling downwards toward the vehicle’s rear quarter panels that terminate near its angular rear bumper.
The concept looks like an interpretation of Nakamura-san’s recent creation, the AIM EV Sport 01, an EV coupe that debuted at this year’s Goodwood FOS. In contrast, the LSR-5 hasn’t implemented Nissan’s current radical design language for its concept cars.
As for its dimensions, the LSR-5 measures 196.7 inches long, 77.4 inches wide, and 60.2 inches tall, which is very similar to that of a Porsche Taycan Cross Turismo, though the concept is still about 4.7 inches taller.
