One-Of-One Porsche 911 Celebrates The First-Ever 930 Turbo

Piech opted for a red interior and Tartan fabric to compliment the silver exterior. The same interior color scheme has been chosen for the modern 911 Turbo. It’s unclear whether the Sonderwunsch creation will be sold to a customer, used as a promotional car, or remain in a manufacturer-owned collection.

Patrick Gallas, Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur for the Middle East and Africa, said the idea for the project came about a year ago: “We wanted to create a modern iteration of a car that was truly unique. Luckily for us, there is no shortage of Porsche cars that people label as icons. We elected to ‘remaster’ one of the greatest icons of them all – the original 911 Turbo that belonged to Louise Piech.”

Piech would later trade the 1974 Porsche 911 Turbo for a 1989 911 Carrera 4, her last car. Like the Turbo, it was kitted out with exclusive features and would serve her until she died in 1999.
