We have lately been seeing a trend among young entrepreneurs and YouTubers where they bring expensive cars to India via carnet. They use the car on Indian roads for a few months and then take it back. While some ship these cars directly to India, there are others who drive the car to India. While we have seen many cases of people bringing expensive cars to India, here we have a video where an Indian entrepreneur took his 2011 model Range Rover Sport to Dubai and posted a video of it parked right in front of the world’s tallest building – the Burj Khalifa.

The video has been shared by Dileep Kumar on his Instagram profile. He is a Dubai-based real estate entrepreneur, Chairman, and CEO of Heilbronn Contracting LLC. He posted the video of his Range Rover Sport with a caption, “A long journey from home. Our old Range Rover from Kerala is visiting us, and we are busy showing her around. Since 2011, she has been part of our family.”
It looks like the luxury SUV was shipped to Dubai, and the family is now using the SUV to visit tourist destinations. The car still bears a registration number from Kerala.
Dileep Kumar came from a very humble background. He hails from a small town named Edappal in the Malappuram district, Kerala. He completed his diploma in civil engineering and moved to Mumbai in 1990. In 1991, he went to Dubai and started working for an MNC as a quantity surveyor for a very low salary. He used to stay in a labor camp provided by the firm.
He worked there for almost 10 years, and in 2002, he started his own firm, Heilbronn Contracting. He became a self-made successful businessman and owns several expensive properties and exotic cars in Dubai.

The Range Rover seen here in the video is something he was using in Kerala. What made him ship this SUV to Dubai is not known at the moment.
Some of the cars that he owns in Dubai include Ferrari F430 Scuderia, Lamborghini Huracan, Urus, Range Rover Vogue (older generation), Mercedes-Benz G63 AMG, Mercedes-AMG GT, Rolls Royce Phantom, and many more.
Coming back to the Range Rover, the SUV seen here is finished in a shade of black and for an SUV that is around 13 years old, it looks in great condition. This luxury SUV was available with both petrol and diesel engine options. We are not sure about the exact engine specification of the SUV seen here.
When this SUV was offered in the market, the price for this SUV started at Rs 98 lakh, ex-showroom, and went up to Rs 1.5 crore. Range Rover SUVs are extremely popular among celebrities and rich businessmen in India. This is not the first time we have come across a video or incident like this.
During the FIFA World Cup in Qatar, a woman from Kerala took her Mahindra Thar to Dubai and drove it to Qatar to attend the finals. Similarly, we have also seen videos of vloggers who have driven their Indian-made SUVs like Mahindra Scorpio N to countries like China.
