If that’s the case, we can expect sharper exterior styling and, perhaps, revisions to the interior, but there’s nothing in these images to suggest that.
There’s a good chance Rivian could be testing a new electric drivetrain for the R1T. That wouldn’t explain the camouflage, but if there weren’t any camo, we wouldn’t be talking about these trucks. The range-topping R1T already produces a staggering 835 horsepower thanks to its quad-motor setup, but this is still not available with the Max Pack option. Our hope is that this combo is finally being perfected for customers.
The third possibility is that Rivian is using R1T shells to conceal an entirely new model, but that would make the camouflage redundant.
