Bengaluru Road Rage: Details
The incident reportedly took place on Kempegowda International Airport expressway. It can be noted that a silver Hyundai Santro hatchback was reversing on a very busy highway flyover. As mentioned, the video was being recorded by the rider of an Ola Electric scooter.
This rider was standing on the side of the road. From the video, the registration number of the Hyundai Santro was noted to be “KA01MD5724.” Following this, we can see that a man comes out of the driving seat and starts abusing the scooter rider.
As per the reports, this road rage incident happened because the Ola Electric scooter rider objected to the car owner for making an erratic move. Apparently, the car driver changed lanes while driving at high speed. So, after he was told to drive carefully by the scooter rider, he lost his temper.
What happened next?
After this, he quickly turned his vehicle to the extreme left. He did this to stop the scooter rider on the road. And after successfully doing this, he even engaged the reverse gear on his car on the busy road to come near the rider.
Following this, he came out of his car and started hurling abuses at the scooter rider. The entire altercation was recorded by the scooter rider on his smartphone, and it can be noted that the car driver even assaulted the scooter rider. They then had a very heated conversation, and the car driver then went away.
Who is this man?
As per the reports, the man who was driving the Hyundai Santro is a 39-year-old individual named M. Uday Das of Ejipura. After taking note of the registration number of his car, it was also found that the paperwork of his car was not up to date.
A police officer stated, “During the investigation, we discovered that the insurance and fitness certificate of his car had also expired. We have seized the vehicle and told him to get it released through court after renewing the insurance and fitness certificate.”
From the picture shared by DCP Traffic Police, the man can be seen apprehended on the left side of his Hyundai Santro. This post of his arrest has garnered a lot of appreciation from netizens. Many users of the platform have stated that they are very happy with the traffic police authorities’ quick action.
Not the first Bengaluru road rage incident
Just a few days ago, another road rage incident from Bengaluru, Karnataka, became viral. In this case, three men who were driving their Toyota Innova MPV stopped an ambulance. After they stopped this emergency vehicle, they started beating the driver for overtaking them.
At the time they stopped this ambulance, there was a very young child inside who was suffering from a health issue. The parents of the child even asked these men to leave them and let them reach the hospital. However, despite this, they were still beating the car driver. After their video went viral on the internet, they were arrested.
