Rolls-Royce is often considered the epitome of luxury when it comes to cars. It is often the brand that people go for when they have tens of crores. However, there are other manufacturers like Bentley who offer cars that are equally luxurious. In fact, Bentley offered the Mulsanne EWB Centenary, which was one of the most expensive cars on sale in India, with a price tag of Rs. 14 crore. Here we have a video where India’s most expensive luxury sedan is seen on the road.
The video has been shared by Vipin Maben on his YouTube channel. In this video, we see the Bentley parked on the roadside with people passing through the footpath admiring it. The car seen here actually belongs to V.S. Reddy, who is the managing director of one of the largest medical nutrition manufacturing companies in India – British Biologicals. The Bentley Mulsanne EWB Centenary Edition is a limited edition model which costs around Rs 14 crore.
In this video, we see the yacht-like Mulsanne move through the roads of Karnataka. There are several shots of the car moving in this video; however, we do not see how the interiors of this sedan have been customized. The Mulsanne was the flagship sedan from Bentley for a very long time. The car, as mentioned above, has been discontinued but when it was available in the market, the standard version was priced at around Rs 6 crore.
The car seen here is the model that costs more than double the price of the standard version and it is one of the most expensive Bentley sedans ever sold. This Centenary Edition, as the name suggests, was launched in the market to celebrate Bentley’s 100th-year anniversary. What makes this model even more special is the fact that Bentley has only produced 100 units of this car, and India has only one of them.
The car is available with three exterior color options: Centenary Gold, Centenary Black, and Centenary White. It gets centenary badging, including a unique grille badge, wheel center caps, and treadplates.
The Bentley Mulsanne EWB was meticulously designed to offer unparalleled comfort and luxury for passengers occupying the rear seats. The power-reclining rear seats, embellished with diamond-quilting stitching in rare hide leather, can be heated, cooled, and ventilated for optimal passenger satisfaction.
There is no lack of space inside the car. Apart from the features mentioned above, the car offers special veneers and centenary badges throughout the cabin, unique embroidery and piping on the seats, picnic table inside the center console for rear-seat passengers, glass cabinet in the middle of the rear seats, lambswool-finished floor mats, electrically adjustable window and windscreen curtains for privacy, and much more.
This is a huge 4-door limousine powered by a 6.75-liter V8 engine. The engine generates 506 Ps and 1020 Nm of peak torque. It is mated to an 8-speed ZF automatic transmission.
While this is a huge and heavy car, it isn’t slow by any means. This 4-door limo can do 0-100 kmph sprint in just 5.5 seconds and the claimed top speed of this sedan is around 296 Kmph.
