We have covered multiple Scorpio N conversions in the past but today we will cover a Scorpio N which has not only been converted from base to top but also given a mafia look. The project is carried out and showcased on YouTube by VIG Auto Accessories.
The video starts with the B-rolls o the SUV showing various changes which have been done to it. The YouTuber has termed this modification as Super Mafia Edition. Now, let’s learn about the changes in detail.
The exterior of the car has been converted to look like the top trim. In the front fascia, the headlights have been changed to LED projector units from the top trim. The fog lights which come with integrated DRLs are also installed. The grille has been upgraded to a gloss black with chrome elements.
Regarding the side profile, 18-inch Mahindra genuine alloy wheels have been added. As this was the base variant, the door handles were finished in matte black that have been painted to body color. The ORVMs have been upgraded to include electric adjustment and folding functionality.
Side body cladding, roof rails, footsteps, rain visors with chrome elements, C chrome, waistline chrome are also added. At the rear, shark fin antenna and spoiler are added. Additionally, the host emphasizes that most of the parts they install are replacement parts and not stick-on. This means that the parts will have a longer life. The rear bumper has been replaced to add the chrome garnish.
The host also shows the process of damping and installation of the speaker system. Additionally, he highlights how the entire work done by them is coupler to couple and no additional wires or wire cutting is required. This maintains the originality of the car and the warranty is not voided. After this, the process of the interior conversion is shown.
The theme of the cabin is changed to white and black. To give the cabin a premium look, soft touch leather has been added to multiple places including the dashboard, leg rest, steering wheel, horn pad, door pads and the door arm rest. Seat covers and 7D mats also follow the same theme of white and black.
A glossy black interior styling kit has also been installed. Active ambient lighting has been added to the door, dashboard and under the seats to add a vibe to the cabin. Many other minor additions have been done to the SUV which includes central locking, door scuff plates, chrome gear knob and grab handles. The host specially highlights the premium seat covers with bucketing and perforation.
The speakers have been upgraded to Sony ES series which receive input from a 10-inch Montego Bay infotainment system with wireless connectivity. Adding to the convenience, a 360 degree camera setup has also been installed. The video ends with the feedback of the customer who loved the car and the quality of the work. The cost of this modification is not specified but the customer mentions that it took six hours to complete this job.
