The Porsche 963 that inspired this watch is powered by a 4.6-liter twin-turbo V8 based on the flat-plane crank unit from the Porsche 918 Spyder, and Porsche claims an output of 680 horsepower. The German automaker has not been having the endurance racing success it hoped for in the 2023 season, but all the teams involved in the Hypercar class of the World Endurance Championship this year have had to adapt to all-new cars and rules.
Hopefully, the 963 comes good soon, or the gold on this watch will celebrate no more than 100 years of the 24 Hours of Le Mans.
As for pricing, you’re looking at 70,000 CHF for the Track 1 – Endurance Edition, which translates to almost $78,000 at the time of writing. Yikes.
