It’s raining special edition models from Volkswagen and Skoda. Following the launch of the Sound Edition models for the Taigun and Virtus, Skoda Volkswagen Auto India Limited has unveiled the new Elegance Edition for two popular Skoda models, the Kushaq and Slavia. The Elegance Edition models of the Skoda Kushaq and Slavia are exclusively available for the 1.5 TSI variants, priced as follows:
- Skoda Slavia Elegance Edition 1.5 MT – Rs 17.52 lakh
- Skoda Slavia Elegance Edition 1.5 AT – Rs 18.92 lakh
- Skoda Kushaq Elegance Edition 1.5 MT – Rs 18.31 lakh
- Skoda Kushaq Elegance Edition 1.5 AT – Rs 19.51 lakh
The changes in the new Elegance Edition of the Slavia and Kushaq by Skoda are limited to visual enhancements only. These editions are exclusively available in the ‘Deep Black’ color option. Moreover, the Elegance Edition offers additional equipment beyond the to-spec Style trim of the two cars, which is the only trim available for their 1.5 TSI variants.
Externally, the Elegance Edition highlights include a chrome finish for the grille and door mouldings, along with an extra chrome strip on the boot lid of the Slavia Elegance Edition. Additional features in this limited-edition variant consist of puddle lamps and Elegance badges on the B-pillars. The Skoda Kushaq Elegance Edition is equipped with 17-inch Vega alloy wheels, similar to those featured on the Monte Carlo variant of the SUV.
The interior of the Elegance Edition for the Skoda Kushaq and Slavia is adorned with added design elements and features compared to their standard 1.5 TSI variants. These include door sill scuff plates, new floor mats, aluminium pedals, and Elegance badges on the steering wheel and cushions. Based on the Style variants, these Elegance Edition models come with features such as a full-TFT instrument console, a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system, powered and ventilated front seats, wireless charger, auto AC with rear AC vents, and sunroof.
The new Elegance Edition for the Kushaq and Slavia only offers the 1.5-litre four-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine. Available with both 6-speed manual and 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission options, this engine delivers 150 PS of maximum power and 250 Nm of torque.
Skoda also sells other special-edition models of the Kushaq and Slavia, including the Matte Edition for both cars and the Monte Carlo version for the Kushaq.
