The Ola S1 and S1 Pro electric scooters are currently the most popular electric two-wheelers in the market. Ever since their launch, Ola scooters have managed to stay in the news. Ola Electric has updated the software experience and addressed minor issues that customers faced over the years. One of the features that the Ola S1 Pro scooter offers is called ‘Party Mode.’ In this mode, the lights and hazard lamp of the scooter blink in sync with the music being played from the built-in speakers. We have seen people using this feature on many occasions. Here, we have a video where a street vendor is using this feature to sell Ayurvedic oil.

The video has been shared by Creative Breaks on their Instagram page. The video was recorded somewhere in Kerala, though the exact location of the scooter is not known. In the video, we can see the Ola S1 Pro scooter parked by the roadside. No one is standing next to the scooter in the video. However, we can hear an announcement from the speakers that are built into the scooter, probably connected to the phone of the street vendor.

The speaker is playing an announcement about the product the vendor is selling. The party mode on the scooter is blinking and attracting people’s attention. We don’t see people gathered around the scooter, but it’s something that would definitely turn heads. The street vendor on the yellow-colored Ola S1 Pro scooter is selling some sort of herbal oil.

This is not the first time we’ve come across a video like this. During the initial days when this feature was introduced, there were videos from different parts of the country where people were using it. We have seen videos where college students played loud music through these speakers and danced in front of the scooter. Similarly, the Bluetooth speaker feature of the Ola S1 Pro scooter was even used by people to announce commentary for a local cricket match. All these videos went viral and are available online as well.

While Ola offers an inbuilt speaker with the scooter, the sound clarity is not the best in the market. We have seen several comments under such videos complaining about this issue. Ola electric scooters gained popularity in no time. There were initial product issues, but they were all rectified later on. One of the issues that many customers faced was one-sided front forks breaking. This was resolved after Ola updated the front fork with a much sturdier unit.

Recently, we also came across an incident in Pune where the Ola S1 Pro scooter caught fire. The firefighters immediately doused the fire; however, the scooter did sustain heavy damage. Ola looked into this matter, and upon investigation, they found that the customer had installed aftermarket parts on the scooter, leading to a short circuit that resulted in the fire. Aftermarket parts have caused similar issues not only in electric scooters but also in ICE vehicles. Several cases have been reported from different parts of the country where fires broke out in cars due to low-quality aftermarket parts.
