Supercool Indian Grandma Drives a Truck in Leh Ladakh [Video]

Mostly, when we think of Leh Ladakh, we imagine the scenic Pangong Tso lake and a Royal Enfield Bullet. However, recently, breaking this standard image in our heads, a video has been shared on the internet. In this short video clip, we can see a grandma—yes, a grandma—driving a Bharat Benz truck in the valley. This video has taken over the internet, and people are sharing their reactions after seeing this old lady driving such a massive truck.

Grandma drives a truck

This video of the grandma driving a truck in Leh Ladakh has been shared on Instagram, and it comes courtesy of Off Road Vlogs Ajay. The short clip starts with a yellow-colored Bharat Benz truck coming toward the camera recording the footage. We can note, after it comes close enough, that instead of a man driving the truck, an old lady is behind the steering wheel.

Following this, the video shows grandma coming out of the truck. It can be seen that she was being assisted by a person sitting in the co-driver seat of this massive Bharat Benz truck. Most likely, she was driving this truck just for the video, and she is not the actual driver of this truck. As per the video it was shot in Tso Miriri which is at an elevation of 15,299 feet from the sea level.

Not the first time

This is not the first time we have seen a grandma driving something as unique as a truck. Just a while ago, we shared a few videos of a 73-year-old grandma from Kerala driving sports cars and luxury cars. The name of this old lady is Radhamani, and she was seen driving a yellow BMW Z4 convertible sports car.

What was even more surprising about this viral video was that she first arrived in a red Mahindra Thar 4X4. Following this, she then checks out the exterior of a current-generation yellow-colored BMW Z4 convertible. After this, she unlocks the car and takes it for a spin.

Radhamani also drove a Jaguar F-Type

Following the success of the video of her driving the BMW Z4, another video of Radhamani driving a green-colored Jaguar F-Type sports car was shared online. In the video, the 73-year-old lady was taking this sports car for a drive. She was being followed by another younger lady who was driving the yellow BMW Z4.

The car being driven in the video, the Jaguar F-Type, has now been discontinued. This sports car comes powered by a 3.0-liter V6 supercharged petrol engine. It produces 375 bhp and 460 Nm of peak torque. Jaguar offered this engine with an automatic transmission, and power was sent to the rear wheels.

Who is Radhamani?

If you are wondering who this 73-year-old who became viral for driving sports cars is, then you should know that she is not your typical grandma. Rather, she is a business owner and owns a driving school called A2Z Driving School in Kerala’s Kochi.

This particular driving school was set up in 1970 by her husband. It has been revealed by grandma that she learned to drive a car when she was 30 years old. She stated that it was her husband who insisted on her learning to drive. Following this, she found driving very interesting, and today she shares videos of her driving different vehicles on the internet.

Apart from driving cars, Radhamani also has 11 other driving licenses in addition to her normal car driving license. She can operate an excavator, forklift, crane, drive a road roller, tractor, container trailer truck, bus, lorry, and many other vehicles.
