Tata Tiago crashes into a dumper truck: Passengers & pet dog escape unhurt [Video]

The video has been shared by Nikhil Rana on his YouTube channel. The vlogger mentions that the video was shared with him by the person who was actually driving the Tata Tiago. In this video, we see a Tata Tiago XZ variant with a broken roof, rear windscreen, and side profile. The accident happened somewhere in Assam. The owner of this Tata Tiago and his friend were taking his friend’s dog for vaccination.

The driver admits that he was driving the car a bit rashly. The road on which they were driving was quite narrow. Suddenly, they saw a dumper truck coming from the opposite direction. As the car was traveling at a high speed, the driver could not control the car or slow down in time. He tried to give way to the truck, but due to the narrow road, he could not do much.

In order to save the car from crashing into the truck, the driver applied brakes, and the car ended up crashing into a nearby wall. Due to the high speed, the roof, pillar, and windscreen of the car were all damaged. From the pictures, it is evident that it was a major accident. Surprisingly, the occupants inside the car, including the dog, were all safe. The owner, who was driving the car, only sustained a minor injury behind his ear.

Tata cars are often known for their build quality, and this accident is no different. The actual cause of this accident was rash driving, as the driver admits. One must be extremely careful while driving on narrow roads. It is important to ensure clear visibility of the road ahead, and drivers must exercise patience on such stretches. It is always a good idea to stick to the speed limit on such roads and be prepared for emergency braking. The driver and the occupant were lucky enough to have walked away from the accident without any major injuries. The owner of the car even shares the video of the dog that was in the car at the time of the accident.

Tata Tiago is one of the safest hatchbacks in its segment. This entry-level model from Tata Motors scored a 4-star rating in the Global NCAP crash test. The Tiago seen in the video appears to be the pre-facelift version. If the car had crashed into the dumper truck, there is a possibility that the occupants might have been seriously injured.
