Third-row passengers are often forgotten, but the generously sized sliding doors enable individuals seated back there to get in and out of the car with ease.
Scandinavian design is a common theme throughout the cabin, but Volvo has also integrated Asian art design elements to create a sophisticated, modern, and minimalist environment. Backlit wood panels work together with Orrefors crystal, seen on the gear lever. This tasteful touch can also be found in current high-end Volvo models like the always-excellent XC90 and future models that are taking their time to arrive, like the EX90.
“When designing the EM90, we focused on creating a room of personal comfort and an experience that emphasizes traveling in style and elegance,” said Sophie Li, Volvo’s head of design in Shanghai. “In creating the EM90 interior, we focused on a car that works just as well when you’re on the move for work as when you travel with your family. This was an exciting assignment for the entire design team.”
