As Tesla fans eagerly await the arrival of the Cybertruck, which was revealed in 2019, a Chinese company called Pu.Labo has unveiled an off-road conversion for the Tesla Model Y that may make a few people cancel their Cybertruck reservations.
We’ve seen tuners attempt to make the Model Y more capable off-road before, even installing beadlock wheels, but Pu.Labo has taken it to the next level with an additional 2.5 to five inches of ground clearance. The kit can also be installed on the Model 3.
For $15,000, or $12,000 if you order early, the kit includes two new subframes for each axle, new upper and lower control arms, spindle gussets, and coil-over shock absorbers. There are 25 components in total, providing eight inches of wheel travel.
