Hyundai has made another pioneering move in the world of sustainable mobility with its latest model, the all-new KONA subcompact SUV.
Boasting a futuristic design and four available variants – EV, HEV, ICE, and N Line – this progressiveness is reflected throughout its universal architecture and individual styling for each variant. This newly unveiled KONA embodies Hyundai’s dedication to delivering advanced technology through modern design solutions at an accessible price point.
“Upscaled with KONA’s unique character, the all-new KONA confidently expresses its bold and dynamic presence,” said SangYup Lee, Executive Vice President and Head of Hyundai Design Center. “KONA has evolved in every respect to embrace an even wider range of diversity, to become a true lifestyle supporter.”
With its modern and sleek design, the all-new KONA is undeniably an SUV at heart. Its parametric surfaces bring a sense of dynamism to the vehicle that speaks volumes through contours like sharp diagonal creases on either side, connecting satin chrome molding from the belt line to the spoiler in perfect symmetry. Details such as headlamps incorporated within wheel arch cladding and a Seamless Horizon Lamp along with a high-mounted stop lamp (HMSL) seamlessly integrated into the spoiler for maximum effect make the KONA truly something unique.
The powertrain variants of the KONA each showcase distinct styling differences. The EV boasts a pixel graphic detail on the intake grille, rear bumper, optional black roof, side mirrors, and a 19-inch alloy wheel design highlighted by a bold black embracing line. The ICE and HEV share equally eye-catching rugged front & back bumpers with skid plates along with arch cladding in classic shades of black, while the N Line variation features options such as wing-shaped spoilers to emphasize their lower stance plus a twin muffler system & silver side skirt all aided by sporty 19-inch alloy wheels that combine for head-turning good looks across any variant.
The all-new Hyundai KONA provides an evolved in-car experience with practical features and a spacious interior to suit various lifestyles. The 12.3-inch dual wide displays and floating module create a high-tech atmosphere enhanced by ambient lighting. The column-type shift is moved from the center console behind the steering wheel to provide more room for unfettered storage of belongings while adding greater convenience – making this vehicle’s design highly convenient and aesthetically pleasing.
Hyundai plans to reveal further details on the all-new KONA soon.
