No one talks about it much, but the supercharger isn’t doing too hot right now. The number of production vehicles that utilize the forced-induction solution has slowly been dwindling for years, but they simply fell off a cliff over the past 6 months. It was only a few years ago you could get a Hellcat in nearly anything, but today the engine’s only home is in the Durango. In fact, there are quite a few SUVs on the market that still utilize a supercharger, but instead of focusing just on them, we wanted to look at every other supercharged option currently on sale.

And what even is a ProCharger?
The following list is every car, coupe, and truck you can buy new with a supercharger in 2024. Yes, you’ll notice some of these were discontinued after the 2024 model year, but you’ll still be able to find them on dealer lots until at least the end of the year, giving you one last chance to buy yourself a piece of history before it’s gone forever. All the others are still being produced, but given how things are trending, none of them probably have too much life left in them.

Supercharged 5.2-liter v8 |
Horsepower |
720 hp |
Torque |
640 lb-ft |
The first truck on the list is none other than the incomparable Ford Raptor R. Well, it used to have competition, but we’ll get to more on that below. Under the hood sits a revised version of the 5.2-liter supercharged V8 found previously in the Mustang Shelby GT500. The company aimed to make it more “truck-friendly” for the Raptor, giving it a larger torque curve thanks to tuning changes and a smaller supercharger pulley. Power has been increased since its debut, but more importantly, the truck gets all of that power to the ground, able to hit 60 mph from a standstill in about 3.7 seconds.

Supercharged 6.2-liter v8 |
Horsepower |

The CT5-V Blackwing is the last of a dying breed of V8, RWD, manual sports cars. We don’t know exactly when it happened, but at some point in the last 5 or 6 years, the sedan performance torch was passed on to Cadillac and the company has been running with it ever since. The CT5-V Blackwing packs the same 6.2-liter supercharged V8 that used to be found in the CTS-V. It was a sublime powertrain then, and it’s a sublime powertrain now, but the CT5 has built upon the performance with improved looks inside and out that finally match its character. It’s the complete sport sedan package, and it’s only getting better for 2025.

For the past few years, Volvo has quietly been offering some of the most interesting powertrains on the market, and the B6 available in models like the S90 (and the V90) is easily one of the coolest. In this mild hybrid form, a tiny, 2.0-liter engine is turbocharged and electric supercharged to produce nearly 300 horsepower. Now, when it comes to full-size luxury sedans, this isn’t much, but this is also why the engine can be coupled with electric motors and a larger battery in the S90 Recharge. This PHEV not only offers up to 40 miles of electric-only range, but the system produces a healthy 455 horsepower and 523 lb-ft of torque, turning the car into a bit of a sleeper.

Giving another Volvo product a spot when it’s using the same powertrain may be cheating a little, but given it’s a sedan and a wagon, it deserves to be talked about. At just over $50,000, the S60 Recharge is currently one of the best deals in luxury and performance. This gorgeous sedan is not only poised and comfortable, but blisteringly quick thanks to over 500 lb-ft of torque at your disposal. The only way this formula can be improved upon is by lengthening the roof and letting Polestar take a crack at the suspension and brakes. The result is the V60 Recharge, and it’s one of the coolest models currently on sale today.

It’s still bitter to think the F-Type has finally moved on. After a decade on sale with many different iterations and special editions along the way, Jaguar is once again without a sports car in the lineup. It’s a shame because the company found themselves a solid niche in the market by offering a RWD coupe or convertible with a roaring V8 up front. We recently drove one and fell in love with its driver-focused nature, instantly regretting the fact we hadn’t enjoyed the thrills of its excellent V8 for longer. The V8 is the only engine still available in two states of tune; the base 444 hp one and the upgraded 575 hp option. We think you’d be happy with either, but there’s no doubt nearly 600 horses in a car like this is simply thrilling.

Supercharged 6.2-liter V8 |

In typical Chrysler fashion, when Ram decided to produce a halo off-road performance truck, it didn’t pull any punches. Ford had enjoyed the space all to themselves for years with the F-150 Raptor, but the biggest complaint was that the model no longer utilized a V8. Ram wasn’t about to make the same mistake and reached for the tried-and-true supercharged 6.2-liter V8 from the beginning to bury the Ford. With over 700 horsepower on tap, the TRX was immediately a revelation, and its long-travel suspension and exceptional 4-wheel drive system made it the perfect companion for any terrain. Of course, we said goodbye to the model at the end of 2023, but we look forward to the day the nameplate returns with a vengeance.

7 Genesis G90

$99,500 |

E-Supercharged 3.5-liter twin-turbo V6 |
Horsepower |
409 hp |
Torque |

The G90 proves your luxury vehicle doesn’t need a European badge to offer flawless comfort and performance. Genesis’s full-size luxury sedan enjoyed a refresh last year that significantly improved its styling inside and out, and when we reviewed it we found it to be every bit as good as its rivals. The 3.5-liter twin-turbo V6 comes in two flavors; the base 3.5-liter twin-turbo V6 or the same engine with the addition of an e-supercharger. Both are mated to AWD, but the upper engine also comes with features like four-wheel steering and multi-chamber air suspension. It’s enough power to move the big vehicle quickly without necessarily making it feel fast and is perfectly suited to the role it plays in the G90.
8 Lotus Emira

Powertrain |
Supercharged 3.5-liter V6 |
Horsepower |
400 hp |
Torque |
310 lb-ft |
The Emira is a bittersweet vehicle, because as good as it is, we also know it’s the last combustion vehicle the brand is going to make. The company is already moving on with the all-electric Emeya, Eletre, and Evija, but the Emira is a fantastic send-off to its prestigious combustion history. Two engines provide power for the model – a Toyota supercharged 3.5-liter V6 and a Mercedes-AMG turbocharged inline-four – with the former being the clear winner out of the two after our testing. There’s just something about the growl of the V6 that perfectly matches the Lotus’s nature, and we can’t forget it’s the only engine option that can be paired with the manual transmission.

It’s still hard to believe that the Dodge Challenger and Charger have finally kicked the bucket after all these years. Perhaps the single most significant generation of muscle cars ever made, both raised the bar about what these kinds of vehicles could be, with Dodge not giving up even until the very end. Of course, it was halfway through when the Hellcat models changed everything, and although they were eventually overshadowed by Super Stock and Last Call models later on, the performance of these base, supercharged vehicles is still astonishing, and we know they’ll be looked at even more fondly in the decades to come.

Rounding out the supercharged list is the hottest Camaro ever produced: the Camaro ZR1. Whereas the Challenger and Charger may be great in a straight line, the Camaro proves the muscle car stereotypes don’t hold much weight when it comes to GM’s products. The Zl1 is a sharp, pointed sports car that is as happy carving up some curves as it is ripping some donuts. This is all thanks to the 6.2-liter supercharged V8 under the hood that it also shares with the Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing. The engine sounds amazing and puts down incredible power, and we’re going to miss it dearly under the hood of the Camaro now that it’s gone.
