For the years running up to the debut of the new Z, many speculated what the new model would be called. One of the most popular responses was it would be called the 400Z since it was rumored to get the 400 horsepower twin-turbo V6 from the Q50, a similar but different naming convention compared to the previous 370Z and 350Z. Well it turns out we were wrong, and Nissan decided to clean up the name to simply “Z”, which may be a bit confusing, but at least its easy to remember.
