We did the digging for you!

What’s the difference between a Cybertruck and a Cyberbeast? With an extra cool name and a $39k up-charge over its base starting price of $57,390, it’s left future owners and enthusiasts asking the question today. Before you click to order and secure your allocation for Tesla’s first EV pickup truck, let us break down the key differences to help make your decision even easier.

Performance

Showcasing the same futuristic look across the entire Cybertruck series (except for wheel options) with a wedge-shape, stainless-steel design, Tesla focused all of its upgrades around performance and functionality. While the Cybertruck rolls off Tesla’s production line with a 600 horsepower dual-motor system that tops out at 112mph, the Cyberbeast delivers 50% more acceleration g-force using an 845 horsepower tri-motor. This translates to a blistering 0-60mph time of 2.6 seconds (Cyberbeast) over a still-impressive time of 4.1 seconds (Cybertruck). The Tesla Cyberbeast even comes with a BEAST Mode that pays homage to the original Ludicrous Mode used in the Tesla Model S and X platforms. With more power comes less range, which is why the Cybertuck comes out on top with a 340-mile range next to the Cyberbeast’s 320-mile battery capacity.

Functionality

As we move onto the subject of mechanical differences, this is where Tesla flexes its functional muscles. Being that the Tesla Cybertruck is intended to perform the daily tasks of an everyday pickup truck, the AWD Cybertruck is fitted with both front and rear-locking differentials and individual wheel torque vectoring to raise its towing capacity to 11,000 lbs. The Cyberbeast only features a front-locking differential but fulfills an identical towing capacity thanks to the tri-motor’s 10,296 lb-ft of torque. Whether you always have performance in mind or rather be more range-conscious, choosing between the Tesla Cybertruck and Cyberbeast is a winning choice.
