Although modifications are illegal in India, we still find many neatly modified or converted vehicles on our roads. The owners opt for such modifications on their own risk. We have featured several examples of tastefully modified cars on our website. In most cases, we have seen people modify hatchbacks and SUVs that are not too expensive. There are people who modify cars just for the looks and there are others who modify it for performance. People who own expensive and luxury cars rarely do such stuff at least in India. Here we have one such Toyota Land Cruiser owner who has modified his SUV completely to make it look like a Lexus LX 570.
The video has been uploaded by MIHIR GALAT on his YouTube channel. In this video, the vlogger talks to the owner of the Land Cruiser SUV who has been in the car modification industry for years now. He has converted his own Land Cruiser SUV to look like Lexus LX 570. In this video, he talks about all the modifications that he did to the car to make it look like a Lexus and also the approximate cost. This is an old-generation Land Cruiser SUV and the owner has modified 2 more SUVs in a similar manner. As part of the conversion, the stock headlamps, grille, fenders and bumper were all removed. The rear bumper, rear fenders, tailgate, tail lamps were also removed.

Once these panels were removed, they were replaced with LX 570 body kit. The massive Lexus grille, all-LED headlamps, muscular-looking bumper with boomerang-shaped LED DRLs and fenders were all installed on the SUV. The owner also mentions that other than this, a separate body kit has been installed on the lower part of the bumper. The stock Land Cruiser alloy wheels have also been replaced with 22 inch aftermarket wheels. The SUV is so huge that even the 22 inch wheels do not look odd on the SUV.
The rear tailgate, LED tail lamps, bumper were all replaced with a Lexus LX 570 kit. Once the body kit was installed on this SUV, the whole car was repainted in a custom shade. The owner opted for a Deep brown and light brown dual-tone shade. Just like we see in Maybach SUVs, the upper portion of the SUV is finished in a different than that of the lower half. The alloy wheels on this SUV have also been painted to match with the exterior shade.
The owner mentions that they have upgraded the brakes, improved the engine performance and have also customised the interiors. The interior gets a large Tesla-like touchscreen infotainment screen in the center. The seats have been wrapped in Nappa leather and some of the trims inside the cabin have been painted to match the exterior shade. The front seats get heating and ventilation features and it is a proper 4×4 SUV. The instrument cluster on this Land Cruiser has also been customised. It now gets an all-digital aftermarket instrument cluster that gets a touch MID in the center. The video mentions that the overall cost of this conversion is Rs 25 lakh.
