Tri Five Nationals 2023 – Survivors, Barn Finds and Drag Cars With The Hot Rod Hoarder
Last weekend’s Tri-Five Nationals in Bowling Green Kentucky was as good as it gets, and luckily Tommy Lee Byrd was on hand shooting video and finding all the cool stuff to share with all of us. This is one of Tommy’s favorite events of the year and every year he shares his favorite finds from the show and race. There is a ton of history at this event, with famous and not so famous old race cars and hot rods that have awesome stories. And then there are the customs and barn finds. Watch the video and let us know what you think!
Video Description:
The Danchuk Tri Five Nationals is an awesome event that features a huge car show, swap meet and drag racing action. More than 2,500 1955, 1956 and 1957 Chevys take part in this event every year, and there are always lots of great historic cars on hand. This year, there were plenty of survivors, barn finds and cool customs in the show field, drag racing pits and swap meet.
I wanted to show some of my favorites in this video. This includes a 1955 Chevy station wagon BARN FIND with a 409 engine and ’63 Impala interior, a 1955 Chevy convertible that was customized many years ago, and several old school gassers. I also walk through the Junior Stock pits.
