A unique 2018 Jaguar I-Pace EV400 HSE is heading to auction with King Charles listed as a previous owner. This example was purchased for personal use by the King and for chauffeuring other royal family members, including Queen Camilla.
The I-Pace on sale is touted as the British royal family’s first electric car. The fully loaded I-Pace, priced at around £60,000 (or about $75,612 at current exchange rates), was delivered in September 2018. It had a fast charger installed at Clarence House, one of the many official residences of the British royal family located in central London.
Specs-wise, the EV has a 394-horsepower all-electric powertrain and an all-wheel-drive (AWD) system. It is also installed with a 90 kWh battery pack, which, under EPA standards, delivers a range of 246 miles – 46 miles less than the WLTP-rated range.
