Watch actor Mammootty take a spin in a Polaris ATV on Dubai’s sand dunes [Video]

Malayalam movie actor Mammootty is known for his love for cars. He enjoys driving and also like to keep up with new technology. He has a good collection of expensive luxury cars in his garage. He along with his son Dulquer Salman, who is also an actor and auto enthusiast own the so-called ‘369 garage’. Unlike many other celebs, he is rarely seen on the rear seat or co-passenger seat of the car. Mammooty recently flew to Dubai to promote one of his upcoming movie. During the visit, the actor drove a Polaris ATV on the sand dunes.

All-Terrain-Vehicles or ATVs are not very common in India. There are many adventure parks which have couple of these but, you don’t usually find these on our roads. Mammootty shared the video of him driving the ATV in the desert. The actor is not alone and we can see actresses from the industry sitting with him in the ATV. Mammootty takes the ATV out for a drive in the sand dunes and the actresses sitting with him in the ATV can be seen screaming while coming down a dune. The actor was not driving the ATV aggressively probably because he was not much experience driving on snow.

The ATV that Mammootty is seen driving in the video is Polaris RZR XP 4 1000 ATV. This is a four-seater ATV that is specifically built for such off-roading purposes. It looks like, this ATV has a longer wheelbase when compared to others. That does not mean, the off-road capabilities are limited by any means. It can still perform extremely well on such extreme conditions. The actor was in Dubai to promote in his upcoming Malayalam movie “Christopher”. The actresses seen with him in the ATV are also part of the movie. The Polaris RZR XP 4 1000 ATV is powered by a 1.0 litre engine that generates 110 Ps. The ATV comes with an on-demand AWD system for better performance on rough terrains.

The actor only took the ATV out for a drive and it is not owned by him. But, there is one Indian celebrity who owns a Polaris ATV. Indian actress Priyanka Chopra was gifted a Polaris General XP 4 1000 Deluxe ATV by her husband Nick Jonas. This ATV costs around $29,600 which is around Rs 23 lakh. Polaris as a brand was available in Indian market. Like many manufacturers, due to low sales, the company had to exit the market. In terms of design, both the ATVs look almost the same. The one owned by Priyanka Chopra looks slightly more civilised or road-friendly with proper doors, an expensive audio system and so on. The one that Mammootty is seen driving in the desert is specifically built for the purpose. Mammootty recently went to Australia for vacation and there he went for a road trip with his wife, PRO and a friend in a Kia car. In the first phase of their road trips, the actor covered around 2,300 km. The actor himself drove the car in this trip and video of the same was also available online.
