During Leno’s test drive with the Battista, he initially noted that it has “so much torque it’s hilarious.” He also mentioned that despite being a heavy electric vehicle, you can control it with just one finger.
For most of the ride, though, Leno was quiet and probably took in everything the Battista could give. They fiddled a bit with the car’s drive modes, but Leno did exclaim in the end about the incredible achievement of making a nearly 1,900 horsepower vehicle since those numbers were typically only ever seen on dragsters not so long ago.
The former TV show host didn’t give it the beans as they were on public roads, but we know it ranks as one of the most insanely quick accelerating vehicles of all time, clocking 0-60 mph in 1.79 seconds. This crushed the Tesla Model S Plaid’s 0 to 60 mph record last year but was beaten by the Rimac Nevera this year. Still, second place isn’t too shabby.
