Forza Motorsport is a well-loved franchise in the world of racing video games, with beautiful visuals, compelling simulation, and a wide variety of cars to race, customize, upgrade, and explore. Fans of the series have been waiting for a long time for the new Forza Motorsport game, which is due to be released on October 10 of this year. One of the most anticipated parts of the release of a new racing game is the cover car, and the new Forza Motorsport video game will be featuring two, and both represent the current pinnacle of American performance: the 2023 Cadillac V-Series.R, and the 2024 Chevrolet Corvette E-Ray.
Earning victories this year at Sebring and Laguna Seca, the Cadillac V-Series.R is the historic American luxury manufacturer’s prototype race car, the result of efforts from Cadillac Racing, Cadillac Design, and Dallara. The other cover car is the hybrid, all-wheel drive, mid-engined Chevrolet Corvette E-Ray, which uses the Corvette’s new mid-engined layout to introduce electric motors to the equation, creating the quickest Corvette yet.
Turn 10 Studios, the developer of the game was given access to information and renderings of both cars well ahead of their public debuts in order to include them in the game, and the result is an amazing showcase of GM’s contributions to American automotive performance and motorsport. Shown off at the Xbox Games Showcase event, fans of the racing series can watch the new trailer which shows both of these incredible cars in action on the track and let the anticipation continue to build for the new Forza Motorsport game.
