Answering all the questions we have about the Mercedes-AMG ONE, the documentary is sure to be fan favorite for car lovers.
While the highly-anticipated Mercedes-AMG Project ONE is now in full production with early customer deliveries already taking place, the hypercar made a monumental impact on the industry long before it was built. If you’ve followed along throughout the lengthy journey of the AMG ONE, you’ll know that Mercedes-AMG faced an array of challenges and setbacks that prolonged the $2.72 million hypercar’s engineering, production, and delivery. Here to clear up the rumors while highlighting the entire progress of the AMG ONE, Mercedes-AMG is proud to announce its upcoming “A Milestone in Automotive History” documentary. The in-depth film follows Mercedes-AMG’s conquest to create the first street-legal hypercar with F1 technology, starting in 2015 with plans to handpick 275 lucky buyers from its community of passionate owners and collectors.
Six years in the making, the trailer for Project ONE: A Milestone in Automotive History, directed by Jochen Schmoll, features a cameo from championship-winning Mercedes-AMG Petronas F1 driver Sir Lewis Hamilton. In the short preview, it’s mentioned by Lewis Hamilton that he had been asking Mercedes to engineer a high-performance model that “kills the supercar competition.” A look inside the process of developing an entirely new hypercar with unheard-of road-legal technology just shows the lengths Mercedes-AMG will go to deliver a truly unique driving experience for its most celebrated clientele. Interviews with individuals such as David Coulthard, Susie Wolff, Victoria Swarovski, FIA president Dr. Ben Sulayem, and Mat Watson, as well as the Mercedes and AMG management, engineers, mechanics, designers, software developers and car builders, give the ultimate and honest insight into all aspects of Project ONE.
