With the New York International Auto Show behind us, we’ll be following up on stories that made waves recently, starting with Tesla being the subject of a potential class-action lawsuit led by a California Tesla owner alleging the EV maker violated the privacy of customers.

GM officials say the company will phase out Apple CarPlay and Android Auto as standard offerings on new vehicles.

In the suit, the owner claims some Tesla employees privately shared highly invasive videos and images recorded by customers’ car cameras between 2019 and 2022 using an internal messaging system. The suit characterizes the EV maker action as “particularly egregious” and “highly offensive.”

Tesla’s not commented publicly on the suit, but expect more action involving the suit later in the week. The suit comes as the EV maker readies for its Q1 earnings report on April 19.

We’ll also be taking a look at GM’s move to no longer offer Apply CarPlay and Android Auto in its vehicles and what it means for you, the consumer. The Detroit-based automaker isn’t alone in this move, following Volvo, Polestar and a few others.

Last week, it was reported Illinois officials were trying to convince Stellantis to build its all-electric 2025 Ram 1500 Rev pickup at the company’s recently idled plant in Belvidere, Illinois. CEO Carlos Tavares recently confirmed the truck will be produced in the U.S., but declined to say where.

Additionally, we’ve been behind the wheel of plenty of vehicles lately and will have reviews of the new Toyota Venza, Chevrolet Tahoe RST, and maybe even a BMW. Of course, we’ll cover breaking news when it happens.
