We’re Driving The Alfa Romeo Stelvio Quadrifoglio: Ask Us Anything

  • Few super SUVs ignite as much passion as the flagship Stelvio.
  • Powering the range-topping Alfa Romeo is a 2.9-liter twin-turbocharged V6.
  • The Stelvio Quadrifoglio can hit 62 mph (100 km/h) in just 3.8 seconds.

Alfa Romeo recently stopped taking orders for the 2024 Giulia Quadrifoglio and Stelvio Quadrifoglio in the U.S. but elsewhere in the world, the duo continues to be sold. We’ve been fortunate to pick up the keys to the flagship Stelvio and are living with it for the next week. What do you want to know about it?

Alfa Romeo has been selling the Stelvio Quadrifoglio since late 2017 and gave it a much-needed facelift for the 2024 model year. The most obvious visual updates made are the fitment of redesigned LED Matrix headlights and new taillights but some changes have also been made inside, including a new 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster.

Our test car is painted in Montreal Green. This isn’t just our favorite color from the Alfa Romeo palette but, in our humble opinion, is also one of the most beautiful colors of any current production car, shimmering under the sun and turning heads unlike any other. It’s hard to accurately capture on camera, however.

The highlight of the Stelvio Quadrifoglio has always been its powertrain and as we’ve discovered, it is enthralling. Powering the SUV is a twin-turbocharged 2.9-liter V6 with 503 hp (375 kW) and 443 lb-ft (600 Nm) of torque. This engine is coupled to an eight-speed automatic transmission sending power through all four wheels, allowing the Stelvio to hit 62 mph (100 km/h) in just 3.8 seconds.

It’s not just the straight-line performance of the Alfa that’s impressed us. Thanks to the grippy Pirelli P Zero tires, 50:50 weight distribution, and some mechanical trickery, it handles incredibly well. There are also plenty of different driving modes to play with, as well as adaptive dampers to smooth out any road imperfections.

If you have any questions about the Stelvio Quadrifoglio, be sure to drop them in the comments section below and stay tuned for our full review in the coming weeks.
