Key Takeaways
- Urban Automotive and Platinum Motorsport Group created a $306,000 custom Range Rover for Kim Kardashian.
- The vehicle features a carbon fiber widebody kit, 24-inch Forgiato Cactus Jack wheels, and is the first Range Rover with Ultra Pro tires from Vredestein.
- No interior or power plant changes were made, but the collaboration between UK and US-based companies added to the overall cost.
Urban Automotive (UA) has revealed its latest creation – a reworked example of the Land Rover Range Rover owned by Kim Kardashian. The English tuner, the same company that elevated the Rolls-Royce Ghost to perfection, worked with Platinum Motorsport Group to create the celebrity’s custom ride. It’s both companies’ most comprehensively reworked vehicle so far, costing a whopping $306,000.
Based on the latest Range Rover generation, UA designed the Range Rover to Kardashian’s exact specifications. The company started with a brand-new example and then proceeded with its trademark carbon fiber widebody kit. Platinum Motorsport worked on the paint in its Los Angeles HQ, changing it to a full satin silver color – a modification that cost almost $20,000.
Exclusive Modifications
According to UA, Kardashian specified the Range Rover with a set of Forgiato Cactus Jack flat-faced monoblock wheels measuring 24 inches in diameter. While not exactly what Land Rover would have hoped for its vehicles in terms of size, this set of wheels is among the few examples ever produced. It’s then wrapped with Ultra Pro tires from Vredestein, a first for any Range Rover in the world. You’ll also see KK badges on the exterior, making this vehicle truly unique.

The customized Range Rover joins the celebrity’s stable of high-end vehicles, including a subtly redesigned Mercedes-Maybach S580. “We’re proud of our growing portfolio of celebrity client projects, and the opportunity to work on a bespoke commission by Kim Kardashian has been truly world-class,” says UA founder Simon Dearn.
Exterior-Only Changes
No changes were made inside and to the Range Rover’s power plant, but it’s important to note that UA and Platinum Motorsport have headquarters separated by the Atlantic Ocean. To make this work, the former made the custom carbon fiber parts in the UK before being shipped to LA for the latter to work on. Dearn even flew to LA to sign off on the vehicle before delivery, which, we figure, added to the overall cost of this custom-made ride.

Suffice it to say that $306,000 for a Range Rover may sound too much, but don’t forget that Land Rover makes special edition Range Rovers that are limited to a very scarce production. They also warrant a high price tag, but this KK-commissioned example trumps them all.
